My brother, Conrad, an American Legioneer, Millbrook, NY, piqued my interest when he copied me this message to a fellow Legioneer:

A student, today at Dover High School handed me a card which knocked me off my feet.
The card is there on the bottom. One side has the yellow ribbon and the other side (on right) finishes with “A grateful American citizen”
Her father is with the American Legion in Wassaic. Didn’t know there was one there, Alec.
Take care, you Vets.
I wish you (and all of us who care about our vets) continued success and longevity, Dick.

My husband is a Viet Nam Vet and our son is a Vet of Operation Iraqi Freedom and has also served 4 years in the Navy and is currently Colorado Air National Guard. Our niece gave one of the cards to my husband and I believe that all Soldiers and their families deserve a Thank You and this is a simple gesture but I know it meant a lot to my husband.

I am a proud member of the PGR and I also have a Chapter of No Rules Riders. I have told all members about this site and the cards, The cards wow!!!! It is truely unreal the response when you give a veteran a thank you card. The facial expression is just surreal. You can almost see a tear when you shake their hand and welcome them home following up with a thank you for your service. One thing that I think of when I am talking to them is both my grandfathers.

My husband, who was in Desert Storm and has Veteran plates on his car recently got one of your cards on his windshield. He was so thankful and impressed. He would like to do the same for other local vets. Thank you so much. It meant a lot to him

I have given out so many of these, and what I get in return is priceless! On Veteran’s day, a WWII vet, about 82 or 83 years of age gave me such a expression of joy, that I’ll never forget it.,Thank you so much for doing this.,,

Good Evening Mr. Richard,,,I am hoping to order some more of your cards. I have several functions coming up where my Scouts would love to give each Veteran they meet one of the Thank-You cards. ,We are going to a VA Hospital, and doing a deployment, followed by a Welcome Home.,I want you to know that I work in a hospital. I give your card to every Hero I meet, and they are so thankful for them. What may seem like a simple card to some, is a blessing to our troops and our veterans. I am honored to be able to recognize them with your card.,I have donated in the past, and I will continue to do so.,Thank you so much sir,,

My father just took part in an Honor Flight for WWI vets and someone at the airport handed him one of your thank you cards. I thought wow what a great idea. I work at Denver International Airport and each day I thank troops and having the cards would be a great way to also show my appreciation.
