WWII in Burma

Dick -

I got the cards this week. Thank you so much! I love them. I was able to give one away today to a gentleman who was an Air Force pilot during WWII in Burma (sp?). We then had a nice chat about his garden.

These give me the opportunity to say thank you without be obtrusive. Then, if they want to talk to me, they have their opening. Thank you again. I’m sure I’ll be needing more soon.

I was given one of your cards while traveling through an airport. The encounter with the gentleman that simply handed me the card and said thank you as he walked away was a very welcomed approach. When someone I don’t know walks up and starts talking to me, asking awkward questions, patting me on the back or shoulder or standing there in awkward silence leaves me uncomfortable. I appreciate every bit of support no matter how awkward, however I appreciate it even more when someone can offer their support without pushing comfort levels. Thank you.

Thank you for all you’ve done to help our Soldiers and Veterans feel appreciated. We handed these out to a group of WWII vets. One of them stopped me with tears in his eyes and said “you know we did that for you,” I replied “Thank you and my son has done it for the next generation since he is a Veteran of Iraqi Freedom.”

What a great feeling to Honor those who feel their contribution has been forgotten! My husband travels for business and makes sure to carry these cards with him when he is connecting through DFW since there are always a lot of military members in transit through that airport.

My husband helped an elderly gentleman one day and during their short chat the man asked if my husband was a veteran. Jim said “yes” and the gentleman handed him one of your cards. What a blessing that was to him! Thank you so much for providing this way to thank our men and women in service to our country. I am looking forward to not only sending one to our son in the Coast Guard, but also to hand them out to all who have sacrificed for us. God bless you all!

Get Tears

I am a Medically Retired Army SSG. When I was on Active Duty when people would tell me thank you I had no clue what to say back. Now that Im a Veteran and I thank current Soldiers I do Say Thank you but I want to say so much more. But your cards take the words from my heart and they are easy to just hand to a Service member without my emotions getting involved. I still get tears in my eyes when I thank a Soldier or get thanked for my service. So thank you for what you do.
